How we're friends

So in many examples of groups of flat mates the individuals don't know eachother before moving in, and then become friends/frenemies/enemies upon their new living arrangement. This wasn't the case for us:

Karen & Rachael
We've lived over the road from eachother basically our entire lives so have heaps of childhood memories, awkward early teenager photos together and a very long enduring friendship. (N'aww)

Rachael & Euan
Bessie mates for around a year now, having consistently been the only two students in our religion & philosophy class to find the teacher's humour funny. Our friendship began after a few weeks of awkwardly sitting diagonally across from eachother on a square table (with no one on either side of us). Euan is the 'best friend' Rachael repeatedly refers to on her blog Rivasoave, and for some reason has never named.

Euan & Karen
We met on Rachael's 18th and bonded over spiking Rachael's wine with vodka before getting her to 'chug' it. Infact, up until the decision in late July to rent a flat together, every time we met involved alcohol. As a result photos of us together tend to look something like this:

(..Yes, that is sand on Euan's face)
